Momentum's President's Council Launches Historic International Program in Mexico
/From March 7-11, 2025, Momentum’s President’s Council hosted Momentum in Mexico, a pilot international experience designed to connect donors and partners with their global community. Participants engaged in meetings with key stakeholders, visits to historic Jewish sites, and special Momentum-led programming by educators Adrienne Gold Davis and Jael Toledo.
Momentum, a Mayberg Foundation partner, also hosted a community event in Mexico City featuring Momentum alumni and leaders from Jewish organizations. Mayberg Foundation Trustee and Momentum Co-founder Manette Mayberg delivered a heartfelt opening address, introducing Momentum, expressing gratitude to our supporters, and welcoming our founding director, Lori Palatnik.
A highlight of the experience was a home-hosted Shabbat dinner, where local community members warmly welcomed participants, fostering meaningful moments of reflection and inspiration.
Manette shared her reflections on this meaningful experience: “As a founder and active board member of Momentum, it was deeply moving to visit the Jewish community in Mexico City. We brought a group of women from this vibrant community on our very first JWRP trip in 2009 and it has remained a growing and integral part of our partnership network. We hosted community lay leaders, professionals, Momentum leaders and participants on Monday night for dinner. I opened the program with a founder's perspective of our commitment to global connectivity from the beginning and how it has blossomed with the Israeli Ministry of the Diaspora's partnership, the Yomm app and our new Leadership Fellowship program blossoming in cities worldwide.”
